First Steps is our Pre-School Dance programme, designed to encourage children as they take their initial steps into the world of dance and to introduce them to all kinds of new movement.  In a fun and caring environment, we use storytelling, songs, and familiar music alongside props such as ribbons, scarves, magical wands and teddy bears to stimulate children’s imagination and creativity.

Our classes are graded by age, but children are free to stay in our ‘dance together’ classes for as long as they need, dancing with a parent or carer, until they develop the confidence to move on.  At the next stage, the children stay in the class with a teacher, familiar by now with the class format and happy to take their First Steps on their own, whilst you enjoy a well deserved rest!
